Period products

Program background: 

  1. In June 2024, the (then) Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care, Ged Kearney announced $12.5 million over 4 years to supply period products to remote and rural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, girls and those who menstruate.  
  2. Awarded to NACCHO, the Period Product Program (PPP) aims to provide improved access to safe and suitable menstrual products and support capacity building and education initiatives in rural and remote Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). 

Eligibility: Initially Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) located in a Modified Monash Model (MMM) Category 6 or 7 location are eligible to participate. Check this link to confirm your MMM status.  

Your organisation is required to complete an EOI in the registration process (once) prior to participation.
